Hohenwald/Lewis County Chamber of Commerce membership as a corridor community in the Natchez Trace Compact allows information about our area to reach over 7 million subscribers.
Through the Compact's website www.scenictrace.com and various other publications and social media administered by the Compact, we can spread the word about our City as Unique as its Name.
The Natchez Trace Compact was developed in 1999. The National Park Service is a member and a strong ally and partner in providing information for Natchez Trace Parkway travelers, and helping to coordinate events, marketing and promotions, and research projects. Compact members have seen a significant increase in visitation and economic impact figures since joining the group. In addition, visitor inquiries have increased by working together to better promote the Parkway region as well as our individual cities.
Tourism is one of the most vital sources of income for our local businesses. The Chamber's executive director has worked extensively promoting our community to various groups that enjoy day trips. By personally accompanying the groups, the executive director can inform the groups of other areas of interest that will bring them back another day. Who knows, someone might decide to make Hohenwald and Lewis County their permanent home! For more information, click on www.scenictrace.com.
